ffs post office

so cross i could just swear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ds1 going on a school trip so needs to renew his passport as he has changed in appearence i have to get it co signed

asked scout leader to sign it so she did and signed the photos too

took to post office but scout leader and gone out of the box a little bit

got new form re filled it out

post office said no as ds1 has same name as dh and its to confusing would be better to use my name

so new form back to scout leader to re sign

back to post office today again and post office say no as a scout leader is not a proper job

ffs ffs ffs ffs Angry so peed off right now

this means after a month of coming and going i new to fill in a new form and get some new photos too

Scout Leader isn't a job - is it? They're not wrong really.

yes but they could of said day one Angry i read it as they are a member of an organisted team (which is on the list)

Sorry to hear you're having a massive headache with this! it is frustrating isn't it! H generally does relatives and friends as he is a professional member of the British Computer Society - it's such a pain to have to get Dr/etc to sign these things!

It's quite a long list though, posted here for ref - hopefully you can find someone soon frmo this list, it's quite long....

You don't have to listen to the post office. If you feel it is ok, then just send it off yourself. I had an issue with something on my form, a date was before another date that shouldn't have been - something stupidly trivial. The post office did end up sending it off but they filled in a form saying they felt it wasn't 100% correct. I didn't have any problems with it at all. So although the post office are great at checking, they aren't the final arbiters.

Having said that, check really carefully. The last thing you want is it coming back.

direct.gov says under 16s don't have to get a new passport due to significant appearance achanges.
