mousesma · 06/12/2010 19:19

I think it only works if you read the books first :)

bubbleymummy · 06/12/2010 19:19

I have to say I was very disappointed - he wasn't at all what I had pictured from the books...sigh... :)

QueenGigantaurofMnet · 06/12/2010 19:20

oh im not far enough into it to know whether he is an adorable carchter, i mean..the aesthetics.

He was cute as Cedric Diggory. But I can't watch or read Twilight, any more than I can fancy Wand Erection.

PinkIsMyFavouriteCrayon · 06/12/2010 19:26

Team Jacob Grin

SummerRain · 06/12/2010 19:28

lol... i don't get it either. He's the worst vampire i've seen in a long time... all mopey and pathetic.

Reminded me of Anne Rice's Louis except too young to carry off the 'pathetic and wimpy for all eternity' vibe with any appeal

CrazyChristmasLady · 06/12/2010 19:34

Not remotely interested in watching that crap and I don't get this attraction to R-Patz at all.

Don't think he is good looking at all.

I prefer Harry Potter to Twilight anyday.

c0rns1lk · 06/12/2010 19:36

Edward Cullen is far too pouty
I'll have Louis from Interview with a vampire instead

LaWeaselMys · 06/12/2010 19:38

You need to get the whiskey out.

There's about four pages of my drunken ramblings from watching twilight on Saturday on TSA.

drinking game here

QueenGigantaurofMnet · 06/12/2010 20:07

Tortington · 06/12/2010 20:15

he is.....edward is a MINNNNNNNNNNNNgly muntbucket

jacob baby

DurhamDurham · 06/12/2010 20:15

I don't like him at all when he's Robert Pattinson but do find him strangely attractive when he's playing Edward Cullen. I don't know why but I do like the character. He's so protective of Bella and is just so damn moody/intense. Not the qualities I would go for in real life but great for a hero in a bit of escapism.

DurhamDurham · 06/12/2010 20:16

Jacob is just a pretty boy....v boring and shallow. Just muscles and nothing more!

stnikkilarse1978 · 06/12/2010 20:19

I tried to read the first book and it was sooooo dull. Haven't bothered with the films but have seen clips with both the Edward and Jacob characters and they just look like ok looking boys. Nothing sexy there whatsoever.

BootyMum · 06/12/2010 20:21

I think to enjoy this movie you have to access your inner 16 year old girl. I watched Twilight on a plane to Australia and expected to hate it but actually found it surprisingly rather entertaining. All the characters are too American looking and perfect imo which makes them a little bland. And it is really very cheesy. But seriously, if you switch off your adult head and just wallow in the escapism I think it's quite good fun. And no, I haven't read the books so not sure if they are better or worse than the movie.

DurhamDurham · 06/12/2010 20:25

I think you are right BootyMum, I watch it with my two dd's who are 17 and 13. We all sit there and quote the entire film. Drives hubby mad.Poor man Xmas Grin

Nagoo · 06/12/2010 20:31

The film is genius in that it uses every trick in the book to make you fancy that skinny pale boy. You have to access your inner pubescent virgin. And pretend you've never seen a vampire film.

pastyeater · 06/12/2010 20:35

YANBU. Give me Eric Northman anyday!( actually I think that should be anynight)
