to want to just be able to buy a pair of boots?

Size 8, knee high, black, medium heel but not stilletto style - and I don't want to look like I left my horse/tank/group of eco-protestors in the car park. I'd rather people didn't immediately think about bondage when they glance at my footwear. I don't want suede as I'd like to be able to go out in the rain/sleet/2 feet of snow we have currently. Nor do I wish to wear wellies at work, no matter how cute/quaint/colourful they might be. I don't want to make a fashion statement, I just want to buy some nice, plain boots in my size...please...

It's difficult to get plain stuff these days. It seems that everything has to make a statement in some way Hmm

good luck with your quest though Smile

clarkes do pretty boring shoes I guess

I wouldn't ruin my knee length black boots that sound like the ones you want but were bought about 10 years ago in the snow. For snow you want wellies.

They are expensive but Duoboots are amazing for the range of styles and sizes.

Timeless styles here but there are loads of others

try Duo boots, on line . Bit dear but my pair have lasted 4 years of regular wear and still look good

Try eBay.

I myself am a badass biker chick.

Here?

I agree that Duo boots are worth the cash and you can get a perfect fit rather than looking like you are wearing wellies or not being able to do the zip up at all.

Fantastic! You guys are much better shoppers than me - liked both the Kew and Autograph but they didn't have them in my size (always the problem for me) so went for the massive Asda bargain; Duo boots will go on my Xmas wish list, though. Thank you.
