This thing where people wear leggings, but leggings that really look like tights - and not very long jumpers over the top.

DH is freaked out by it and specifically asked if I had read anything on Mumsnet about it (!) Has anyone else noticed this?? Or is it just where we live that girls are basically walking around with their a*ses hanging out? And in this cold weather too! [old biddy emoticon]

In fairness to the OP, this isn't about short skirts, it's about actually not wearing any outerwear at all on your bottom half

Am wearing thick black tights with cheap leggings over the top - yes, and knickers, too, before you ask - will that do?

I don't think anyone can see anything inappropriate, though obviously I can't actually see my behind when bent over.

I like leggings - they're comfy and cheap.

Ventured out today for the first time all week and saw a (not small) woman wearing a very stylish white coat, white snow boots, cream cable jumper that barely covered her ass, and WHITE leggings. See-through white leggings. If she'd just had jeans on (or even jeggings!!) she'd have looked quite cute.

Last year, some young girls wanted me to let them get on the very full bus in front of me (I'd been in the queue for ages) because they were cold! It had been snowing all day, but they chose to come out in sandals, short skirt, and no coat. I said no.

I feel sorry for young girls. For them to feel it necessary to dress scantily clad is very sad(rhymed)! I watched FLAVA a music channel this afternoon and was appalled by how near naked most of the women were in the video's. These women are role models for young girls and I think it's wrong. I saw one girl writhing and holding her crotch and the lyrics were along the lines of ''girls can do it better that the dudes'' or summut . They looked like 'ho's'
