I just got off a bus from town with DS, aged 3.

The bus got stuck in a narrow street because some morons at the school parked badly so the bus just had to sit and wait for the owner of the cars to come and shift them. There were PCSOs about as there often are, trying to alleviate the traffic flow problems.

Anyway, I happened to turn around to look out of the back window of the bus and there was a bloke sat at the back looking out of the window and BLEUGH I am SURE he was looking at the school kids and wanking. His arm was moving frantically but I couldn't actually see anything but his arm was going ten to the dozen and he had his face pressed right up against the window. He caught me looking at him and stopped.

I got of the bus, partly because I was weirded out, partly because I was fed up of waiting at a standstill. I debated telling one of the PCSOs my suspicions but I think I had convinced myself that no-one would be wrong enough to wank on a bus. But now I've had time to think, wanking on a bus is probably small potatoes for a paedo :(

AIBU not to have reported it? I think I am.

Phone the police and report it. Lots of buses have cameras on them now

MerrilyDefective · 29/11/2010 17:21

Yeah,i think you probably should have reported it.
Always difficult to know what to do at the time when you can't believe what you saw but......
Can't you do it now, could you still describe him?

marriednotdead · 29/11/2010 17:22

I think you should have tbh. Gross.

Sady, there are freaks people who think this is ok.

You were probably in denial shock though, so don't berate yourself too much.

elmoschristmaswish · 29/11/2010 17:23

Ewwwwwwww , I think maybe you should have reported him to the bus driver .

bupcakesandcunting · 29/11/2010 17:25

I was in denial, not making excuses.

Also, he knew I'd seen (if he was doing what I think he was doing) and my boy goes to the school that we were next to on the bus. I thought afterwards what if I'd grassed and he'd gone looking for DS?

BTW, I am not "paedo-paranoid" but I realise I am sounding it.

You should report it. People are that gross and nasty - I remember a local news thing about a similar incident from when I was a teen.

MerrilyDefective · 29/11/2010 17:29

I didn't think you were making excuses.
I've never seen anything gross like that and wouldn't like to say how i'd react.

celebmum · 29/11/2010 17:30

I'd report it just to be safe.. like MMOH said most buses do have camera's on them now... That being said 'mr inapropriate'would also know about the cameras and therefore would surly not be so stupid?? could he have been waving at someone?!?!

LittleCottonSocks · 29/11/2010 17:31

Report the fucking bastard. Angry

ladyfirenze · 29/11/2010 17:33

It's really normal to be a bit shocked when you see this sort of thing, you will feel much better if you report it to the police. They will still log it as an incident, and probably put his description out to all the drivers (if there's no cctv on the buses).

Unfortunately I've seen this happen a few times, (the latest being a lone guyin the jacuzzi at the gym - eugh!!) and I know that reporting it always helps me to feel better.

bupcakesandcunting · 29/11/2010 17:38

Oh MerrilyDefective I know you didn't think I was making excuses, I was just agreeing that I was in denial but saying "not using that as an excuse" but not very succinctly :)

OK I will phone the non-emergency police number after dinner time. I feel like a divvy for not saying anything at the time.

First you should phone the bus depot & report this before they clear off the tape on that camera . Then phone your local police station .
