To be pissed off with Flybe

DH has to work on Christmas Eve, and we're spending Christmas with my family in Scotland, so (back in August) he booked himself on the 8pm flight on Christmas Eve to come and join us (I'm going up a few days earlier)

Flybe phoned today to say the flight time has changed - to 5 hours earlier!!! FFS; if he'd wanted a 3pm flight he'd have booked one! No there are no other flights left, no train tickets (except reeeeally expensive ones)

So he either has to grow wings or leave work early, neither of which are particularly easy for him

AuntiePickle, he owns a retail business, and he doesn't think it's fair if all his employees HAVE to work Christmas Eve, and he doesn't. So he's always in the shops then, pitching in.

Flymaybe is right Angry

That is shit.

Can your DH maybe explain the situation to his staff and leave them a few bottles of wine to enjoy after their shift, or something else to soften the blow? Even a small bonus if he really feels that bad.

i am sure his staff will help out, if he's a good guy on the day to day. but yes, that is shit.
