i dont think its fake but why they are labelling it as alien etc is just the stupid part
i dont think it is that rare, it just looks like a very active baby, everyone gets that moving lumpy shape changing stomach thing to some extent she just has it more?

Sidge · 24/11/2010 22:09

I think she maybe doesn't have much amniotic fluid cushioning the baby. She's also very slim so the movements are more obvious.

Funkychunkymunky · 24/11/2010 22:13

I don't think it is fake. DD used to move around like that but I have a cosy layer of fat so I couldn't see the movements quite so clearly.

Animation · 24/11/2010 22:14

I don't know what to think.Confused

Looks like very big baby arms or legs up against mum's skin.

FerminaUrbinoDaza · 24/11/2010 22:15

Nah, I saw that a couple of days ago on Jezebel. TBH I was expecting it to be fake but I don't think it is. DS was the same. Don't think they called it alien though...

Hassled · 24/11/2010 22:15

I don't think it's fake either. DS1 was a bit like that (although obv not to the same extent) - I was 7.5 stone when I got pregnant with him, and he was a big baby. I think it just shows more on skinny mothers.

beebuzzer · 24/11/2010 22:16

Yep just an active little dude in there. I think its a bit patronising to sun readers/viewers tbh Grin

MerryMarigold · 24/11/2010 22:16

I was pregnant with twins and looked like this all the time. Especially lying in the bath Grin!

BuntyPenfold · 24/11/2010 22:16

I don't think it is fake, mine moved around very vigourously and it showed nearly as much as that.

Vallhala · 24/11/2010 22:18

Not in the least. I had a similar experience when DD1 turned the right way round very late into my pregnancy. It was quite a thing to see!
I was very slim too, which by all accounts explains some of it.

FerminaUrbinoDaza · 24/11/2010 22:18

It's all in the context. here.

natandchris10 · 24/11/2010 22:18

i remember my LO being active but this is soo weird looking! maybe its the angle she is sitting / laying?

booyhoo · 24/11/2010 22:20

why would it be fake? ds2 moved alot and it was really painful. not as much as that but i think that is totally possible.

mylittlemonkey · 24/11/2010 22:20

There are loads of very similar videos on you tube. Dont think its that wierd really. Was expecting a lot more bizare than that really considering the headline.

TragicallyHip · 24/11/2010 22:21

Nah I don't think it's fake. Strange to see as I never had that much movement but seems pretty real to me.

LynetteScavo · 24/11/2010 22:22

That's actually made me broody!

Mine used to wriggle like that...made sleeping really difficult.

I do think it depends on how much fat you have as to how much you can see the baby move.

tigerchilli · 24/11/2010 22:23

I was slim (still am) during my pregnancies and carrying big active babies. I didn't see anything I've not seen before.

Maybe I should have rang the Sun? Grin

booyhoo · 24/11/2010 22:25

"That's actually made me broody!"

not just me then lynette? Grin

CaptainKirksNipples · 24/11/2010 22:26

I could make out limbs and elbows when mine moved. I think she is very slim, and baby is very active. Also the angle and light make it look very obvious. not fake though.

redflag · 24/11/2010 22:26

Bloody hell, my son made that baby look relatively peaceful! How is this news?

natandchris10 · 24/11/2010 22:28

redflag.. its not news.. hence its in AIBU..

OP posts:
3littlefrogs · 24/11/2010 22:32

It is an occipito-posterior position and a slim mum. You can clearly see all the limbs at the front. Perfectly normal.

redflag · 24/11/2010 22:33

No i was referring to the sun, having it as a story, not you!

natandchris10 · 24/11/2010 23:03

apologies redflag.. im sensitive i havnt taken my medication today.. Grin

OP posts:
ShanahansRevenge · 24/11/2010 23:12

YABU I had that...my baby was 10 pounds and in the occiput posterior position...as 3litlefrogs says it shows more and I was slim too...I looked like a freak.
