Believe me, I am no friends of creepy crawlies but I think it's out of order to use them as fodder for a daft game.

yesterday they had a task where they had to get loads of works out of a pot (with spiders and beetles in) and squish the worms down a tiny hole.

I think it's bloody cruel personally. They are living creatures not things to piss about with.

Or am I mad today?

I don't watch the crappy programme but I think it's out of order . Can you imagine the outcry if they were doing that sort of thing to fluffy bunnies or kittens. Just because they are small and ugly looking doesn't mean the should be tortured and squished for fun! So no IMO YANBU

YADNBU I think it's disgraceful.

I must admit I did wonder if they were doing this to live worms - bloody horrible to watch as well. Last year they got fined for killing a rat and eating it (Gino the chef) so would have thought they'd be extra careful this time.

I must admit that I have quite oftne thwacked a spider with me shoe.

But I think cynical use of hundreds of creatures is bloody unreasonable, frankly.

Surprised there isn't more outcry about it, tbh, especially the country of catinbingate.

it's out of order and quite disgusting what they make these people do, couldn't give a crap about the bugs and whatnot but it's the wrong message to send out. Know that they know what they are letting themselves in for but still we shouldn't be encouraging it.

the rat thing was crazy. I didn't have a problem with them killing and eating the rat but all these creatures (again I don't care abut these bugs and would happily kill any in my house etc) being used for entertainment and to humiliate people is just wrong, I'm really surprised they are allowed to do it.

It is out of order - it is disgraceful that they use these small creatures in this way - their lives are just as valid to them as ours are to us - they are not 'play things'.
