You are over thinking, - beautiful skin is a lovely compliment. Someone said that about me a few weeks ago (admittedly a rather short sighted old lady ) I was very chuffed. I take all the compliments I can get these days!

As someone with shitty skin, I have longed for a beautiful complexion all my life and so if I compliment someone on theirs, it's because I really mean it, not because I'm desperately trying to find something about them that's not tooooo hideous! You're overthinking it, you need to learn how to accept a compliment with grace.

Yikes. Have had two separate compliments about my 'glowing and radiant' and just 'radiant' skin in past few days and I was extremely pleased. Ok I was a bit at the first one and accidentally laughed at the second but overall I had resolved to be pleased. Until I saw this thread.

YABU and a little paranoid. Some people do just have the most amazing skin - and you notice it. You're probably one of these people. Lucky you!
