I really don't understand how anyone doesn't find RG funny. He is a comedy genius. Maybe those who dislike him just don't get the point as it is far more sophisticated than many on here seem to think.

I do like him normally. I just found that clip uncomfortable. I don't know his stuff with KP.

I notice the woman on the web-cam isn't laughing. Maybe she is fick or has a sense of humour bypass too

I really don't see what one could find nasty in the clip.

did the bit were KP himself was laughing and saying "and now its time for the news" not give it away that he might just be in on the gag?

Karl Pilkington has been playing the idiot character for years, its nothing new. Its his entire career. He's a producer and author, he's not some random bloke they rang up to take the piss out of!

i had a look at a news item and was curious. but of course, no, I won't listen to his stuff any more.

I have to wade in here to mount a bit of a defence of Ricky. Anyone is of course entitled to their opinion of whether they find him funny or not but I am going to take issue with those that assert that he is like David Brent IRL. I actually worked with Ricky for about 8 years before he became famous - in fact he was one of my bosses at the University of London Union. I can say hand on heart that I have never known such a supportive and loyal boss. He was as different from Brent as you could imagine. Many of his oldest friends he has taken with him as he has hit the big time - the man he does the Flanimals books with and the one who wrote the incidental music for extras are all friends from the days before he was famous. He is a really lovely bloke and his OH is a fab person too.

I find Richard Bacon more grating, don't know why.

One trick pony. The character he played in The Office was funny, but Extras just seemed more of the same. He'll always be a chippy little man from Whitley Wood who didn't get into the grammar school to me.
