to wonder why people who are easily offended watch offensive comedians

My friend was complaining to me about frankie boyle as she'd seen one of his dvds. She was saying he was vile and nasty, surely with comics like Carr and Boyle etc you know what you are going to get so if you are likely to be offended by them why watch them.

YANBU, with black comedians you know what you going to get so if you won't like it then don't watch it. There does still need to be limits on where these comics can go of course

i went to see billy connolly on friday night. several groups of people left whilst he discussed how the term 'c&&t' was used in the uk.

that said, it did remind me a little of listening to your very old un-pc grandad who hasn't quite grasped 21st century life.

actually, I was watching Russel Howard last night, as I had never found him offensive but there was a guest who came on and started spouting misogynistic crap. There wasn't a warning, I found it offensive and switched off. You don't always see it coming so you can't always avoid it.
