No hully - will look.

One of mine has a Welsh baby name .

Hullygully · 06/01/2011 17:20

Jins - tell us about the wild children..

Sounds v sensible re the job and uni combi. They are so lucky if they know what they want to do.

DD wants to save every animal on the planet (even if they're poerfectly happy and don't need saving)

ds wants to spend his days "tinkering." Told him he'd better marry well.

pagwatch · 06/01/2011 17:21

Haven't you been banned from babies names yet, hully.

I must tell you. At panto the wicked witch was caught and good fairy cried out ' what shall we do with her children'

KILL HER! screamed the baying mob of pre schoolers.

You would have been so proudGrin

ok gotta swoon and help ds with german - which i seem to be learning rather more quickly than him. He had a wonderful note from his teacher the other day asking how come he'd written his little paragraph in the past tense when they hadn't learnt it yet.

He wrote back: "I copied the scentences (sic) from the book."

Hullygully · 06/01/2011 17:22

That is fab Pag. So proud my mantra is spreading.

pagwatch · 06/01/2011 17:23

Only three proposals.

Funnily enough I rejected the two uber rich men and accepted stone broke 20 year old ds.

pagwatch · 06/01/2011 17:24

No no. Not ds.
Uber weird....

Dh . Dh.

Hullygully · 06/01/2011 17:24

I see.....

pagwatch · 06/01/2011 17:25

Yy to the joy of a child knowing what they want to do.
So brilliant to know where you want to end up.

JamieLeeCurtis · 06/01/2011 17:25

DS1 wants to be a diver/inventor/humorous magician

Ds2 wants to be a diver/inventor/humorous magician (idolises big brother)

Me and DH, who did not choose wisely, are very much of the school of thought that you find out what you love and then find out how to get a job doing it, or at least a job that enables you to do it as a hobby

JamieLeeCurtis · 06/01/2011 17:26

Eeew Oedipal

Jins · 06/01/2011 17:27

The wild children scare me a bit. They are 15 but more worldly wise than I am now at 30 years older than them. They dabble with drugs and drink and smoke heavily. DS1 thinks they are wonderful and wants to go to all the parties that they are at. At the most recent one, when I insisted that he was home by 12, one of the girls brought a group of 30 year old men along. She'd picked them up at McDonalds Shock

I see DS1 getting caught up in something unsavoury, possibly involving police or a beating due to these two.

And I know I'm getting old...

pagwatch · 06/01/2011 17:27
