This explains the background. The lying f*ckers are making out there is no problem with the images because they show women who are 'obviously in the lead'.

thank you for all your comments everyone; now that I know I'm not BU I've written to the company politely asking them to explain to a dim little English mummy how these photos can possibly show women in the lead!

It's just a way of stirring up outrage so that people now remember their name. How else are they going to shift such gopping suits?

It's a shame really, it is obviously a hugely talented photographer, they are beautifully photographed. I'd have thought with that calibre of work they wouldn't need the shock tactics to draw attention to them. They are highly inappropriate, but then it will have been done on purpose, they've just saved themselves paying to have their images printed everywhere.

They previously ran a 'Start smoking' campaign (allegedly about smoking jackets) which had a similar result.

It sucks that they think women are just there to be used whenever they want to shock people.

The knickers one doesn't make any sense. He can't SEE her knickers, only his own hand from that angle.

But, - the dismissive look and the casual hand in his pocket is clearly meant to show contempt for women.

It's fascinating when you look at an image and have a certain feeling about it and someone explains why it produces that feeling.

The women simply look like playthings in the same way as the bloke would be using a nice looking car or toy.

I don't see how the women can be in the lead, and yes they are pornogrsphic, but they aren't that bad are they?

They don't imply that these men don't know these women, or are not in relationships with them. Surly it's ok for a man to fancy a woman he's with? Surely someones one person in the couple has clothes on while the other one doesn't?

Yeuch! they are horrid, definitely not women in the lead! And the one with the guy in cream trousers and a jacket that looks too small is hardly flattering for the suit company In fact, who the hell would be actually looking at the suits in these ads (except me- and only cause it looked naff!)

It isn't clear - of course - but I bet that is what they want you to think.

They are very clever and obviously required talent to produce but I would have been more impressed if they hadn't been so porny, although even humour wouldn't get me to buy one of their horrific suits for my Grandad, let alone my DH.

I don't know what you're all talking about. Personally, my eye was drawn immediately to the excellent cut and fabric of the suits, and I didn't notice anything else in any of the pictures.

Because in all of them she isn't participating. She's just lying there placidly for him to do as he likes with.

I don't like the design of that sink Nancy - looks like it would be easy to chip crockery on.

I think some of them were worse but have been cropped btw - apparently the Dutch govt had a problem with some of them, and if you look at the thumbnails you can see there is more going on in some of them (eg the one where it's just a man by himself.) I read a ref to the car one being him groping the woman while he's driving (tut tut, that's not safe driving at all) and you can't see that in the pic at all.

Looks like a corian to me - they've got one of those vegetable washer things on their taps though, which i'm very envious of.
