It is supposed to be a FAMILY show and we wait in the cold to watch but last year they didn't actually turn the lights on until around 9:30pm and it's always on a school night.

They have some half-decent acts this year doing the switch on but I'm still a bit Hmm and wondering if it really is worth going.

So what happens in your area?

9:30? yanbu - that is ridiculous. Ours get switched on at around tea time. the actual festivities are excellent - the lights not so - if you are down the street when they get turned on you kind of miss it!

Ours is a BIG city event. Some big name celebs of the moment usually turn them on and it sometimes makes a good show.

.... But it's a LOAD of money to spend on a family show, especially when most families expect to be home with DC's in bed by then.
