I really have no interest all in this royal wedding next year, I am dreading all the hype and don't want to be bombarded by speculation over every detail plastered over every newspaper magazine and TV..yawn!!

We went to Thorpe Park for the Diana and Charles horror. Totally empty and no queues. Pick something fun to look forward to!

YANBU - or if you are, then I am too.

Managed to dredge up a bit of 'pleased for them' emotion when I heard the announcement yesterday but it was soon overcome by a huge swell of 'so what' when listening to the news wittering on about it.

scoobytoo · 17/11/2010 16:01

Good idea Katey1010;-)

2shoes · 17/11/2010 16:01

well it is better than papers and news full of doom and gloom

ariane5 · 17/11/2010 16:04

thats what i think 2shoes, cant say i will be all that interested in all the little details but its something nice and happy for a change

scoobytoo · 17/11/2010 16:04

I just don't understand how anyone can get emotional about a wedding between 2 people who I've never met.
I also didn't and still don't get all the hype over Diana either, maybe I'm just cynical.

I couldn't give a toss either, but agree that at least it's happy news. Roll with it, you might find yourself sending off for the commemorative plate in the back of the Mail... :o

joydivisionovengloves · 17/11/2010 16:13

YANBU. I'm bored of it already.

Quenelle · 17/11/2010 16:18

YANBU. But it's best to learn to let it wash over you.

The only other thing I find more annoying than all the media coverage is when people keep moaning about it. It's not going to make it go away.

This sentiment is reserved mainly for my DH, who I know will moan constantly between now and the big day.

Wow I am surprised so many people feel the same way;-)
It's just yesterday I aired my feelings and got shot down in flames by people sayiong how exciting it was and how fantastic it's going to be....

I'm going away for the "Big Day" whenever it is. It's hard to ignore with the media banging on about it all the blardy time. I hate weddings at the best of times but this one is going to be in all our faces from now till next year.

MoralDefective · 17/11/2010 16:34

Can't wait for all the tat to start appearing in the shops! [bored of it all already face].

curlymama · 17/11/2010 16:56

I think it's exciting, I can't wait, and if I'm not there with my hat and my flag, I'll be doing a street party.

You lot are all miserable gits! Wink
