To not go to work today?

Ds had an accident this morning and really banged his forehead, huge great egg. It's calmed down now but big bruise. He seems fine. But I don't just want to drop him at nursery, and run off to work or am I being precious?
Disclaimer.. This is the first time I've had to do this. Only been back at work a couple of weeks so there's probably a bit of guilt in there.

Ask the nursery what you should do; then if they say we won't take him it's not you being precious!

I think if he's fine I'd go. Make sure you ask the staff to keep a close watch on him, and maybe ring to check if you have a break. I'm afraid there will be occasions when more serious things crop up and you will have to take time off, best save time off for those.....as long as you and the staff and he are happy that is!

I would delay by an hour and keep an eye on him, probably doenst need a whole day. Hope he is ok now.
