I mean, you wouldn't come to work in your underwear... Confused

I've just been to see a new-ish colleague at her desk, and it is plastered with holiday photos with her and her boyfriend on the beach, in teeny tiny swimwear.

Does she really want us all to see that? (it is an open-plan office)

yes
s he is pleased of herself and is trying to show off

IMO any domestic photos are naff and ostentatious at work

Bonsoir · 15/11/2010 11:27

It depends on the culture. Italians do this all the time, IME! I don't think it's acceptable to the British in the same way.

I don't like posed beach pictures in teeny swimwear all over people's sitting rooms either.

Pannacotta · 15/11/2010 11:29

It is odd and in slightly bad taste, in this country at any rate!

Decorhate · 15/11/2010 11:30

Not quite as bad as my colleague who passed around her holiday snaps including some of her topless TMI!!

thenightsky · 15/11/2010 11:30

Its not a bad idea actually. Looking at myself in bikini each day would definitely put me off chowing down on chocolate and piling the pounds on.

FromFirstToLast · 15/11/2010 12:40

OMG do you work with my sil, she has an artistic picture of herself in her underwear, suspenders the lot!! on her living room wall Grin

BalloonSlayer · 15/11/2010 12:42

It's a challenge, sparechange.

She has thrown down the gauntlet.

You now need to get an out of focus picture of your naked self on to your desk pronto.

Don't let her win.

kenobi · 15/11/2010 14:12

Not just on your desk as Balloon suggests, no no no.

Take FromFirstToLast's sil's example and get a poster of yourself all nekkid (but tastefully) to put up on the wall behind your desk.
Then just carry on working and pretend it's not there...

SlightlyJaded · 15/11/2010 14:19

FromFirst I need to see that picture, I really do. I am always a bit Shock when people have those soft focus studio portraits done to stick up on a wall at home. But in suspenders??

sparechange frame a closeup photo of your DH/DP's package encased in white eurostyle speedos. No face or body - just the pants and bulge.

In fact, a 2011 photo-calendar might be the way to go Grin
