to not understand how everyone knows how to name change!

I keep reading on here all the time about name changing... and I dont want to at the moment... but hey, who knows maybe one day I will. So I scroll all over the site and there is NO large button saying "name change"

How does everyone inherently know how to do this?! is it magic? And, please, how the hell do you do it?

You go onto mymumsnet, then registration details and change the name where it says nickname.

Because we read instructions?

Just like most of us know how to make links and hate the people who go 'oh, I don't know how to make links. whinge whinge whinge.'

When you signed up your name would have been something like N23489237FF58759, in your sign up email you would have had instructions on how to change it to something more easy to remember.

So you have already namechanged and could probably work out how to do it again if you thought about it, since there are only two likely looking sections: "My Mumsnet" and "Customise".

I'm with the OP on this. Tried to name change as per the instructions, but was told I didn't exist.

MN did not respond to my emails to sort it out.

They still bombard me with newsletters to the "non-existent" email address. The one I've always used.

Sort it out MN, why don't you?

Well when I tried to make a link, I failed.
Also when I tried to namechange, I failed.
I did read the instructions.

Actually bertie botts when I signed up i picked my username right there and then, so no I've never namechanged!
