I am with you - sat on couch on MN while DS (8) is watching cartoons whilst playing on DSi. Can't summon up energy to do anything!! bad mummy with all that drinking last night ...... good night though!

JoBettany · 13/11/2010 12:19

I don't think so! I sometimes think a PJ day is a very good idea.

I am always rushing around with my DS. I am so busy all week and the weekends are spent ferrying him from one activity/party/visit to another.

We have had 2 PJ days this year and they were both wonderful!

Enjoy.

Holymoly321 · 13/11/2010 12:26

ooh, I will def enjoy then ladies! I too spend all my time rnning around and have to say it's lovely to just sit and do nothing and not feel (too) guilty about it. DS's are now eating thier corn on the cob lunch , still in PJ's, still watching Cbeebies, and still loving it!

Isn't this what Saturday CBeebies is for?

Mumcentreplus · 13/11/2010 12:35

Ha!..Yes you have my permission Grin

JoBettany · 13/11/2010 12:36

Also a lovely thing to do is have a bath in the middle of the day. My DS loves that as it is so weird for him. He will play in the bath for ages!

effymeffy · 13/11/2010 12:40

Haha definetly YANNNNNBU Grin

upahill · 13/11/2010 12:42

I'd let them get on with it and cover myself up in the quilt!

whoneedssleepanyway · 13/11/2010 12:43

I have a hangover too and DH has gone to Manchester to stay with a friend and go to the boxing tonight.

I have just given DD1 pizza for lunch, she is currently washing the kitchen floor and I am then planning that we will spend the afternoon watching tv...

So YADNBU

LittleMissHissyFit · 13/11/2010 16:57

wonder if any of you were out with me last night?

hangover over here too...

MacD for lunch, I got it on prescription, honest!

deaddei · 13/11/2010 16:59

You are a feckless mother.
And when they grow up they will call Jeremy Kyle Wink

Binfullofmaggotsonthe45 · 13/11/2010 17:03

No YADNBU have such a bad period (PCOS) I can barely move off sofa, DS and I are in our lounge gear watching all of Star Wars films, there are at last count 30 little lego spaceships on the floor, all of the cushions etc etc we have sticky up hair and hot chocolate moustaches Grin

oh, and we live in Switzerland so a few of the "healthy Swiss" were dragging their sullen kids past us for a mountain stroll at 9am throwing shocked looks at the eccentric lazy Brits still in PJ's eating sugar puffs on the sofa.

Must get some nets........

SixtyFootDoll · 13/11/2010 17:04

Been there doen that.
Has to be done once in a while.

badcoverversion · 13/11/2010 18:04

YANBU

I gave my DS an "ollipop" before and put Danny Elfman on itunes. He sat in his chair singing along for an entire hour, happy as a pig in shit! I rested my aching bones for a bit and caught up on last nights Corrie.

He's now watching a Peanuts dvd and awaiting his Papa returning from work.

Sometimes needs must.

DrSeuss · 13/11/2010 18:09

Works for me. It's only Cbeebies. It's not like you made them watch The Wiggles or something!
