old and crackers in the promo for her new Christmas album?

It's all carols...Silent Night etc. and Annie (who I have always loved) is dressed in an angel outfit and other mad get ups...but she suddenly looks a bit mad! She used to dress in these crazy outfits in the 80s and look all ironic and cool...but now it's a bit odd.

Like when you were a kid and you'd see some old crooner in his jumper on the telly...and your parents think he's fab and you're like

She's fabulous, I won't hear a word against her. She was always a bit mad, that's part of her charm.

She looks gorgeous on the cover of that album, and her voice sounds beautiful.

What's wrong with being old and looking mad if you can sing?

I have just decided I am being totally shallow because I remembered her on a documentary where she went to help children with HiV and I remember her taking 2 orphan boys under her wing...

I think it was in Africa. And thse boys had NOBODY and she was like their Mum...took them to get tested and played with them and stayed with them for days while they waited for the results.

And then when they were in bed she cried like a baby....all her strength went away when they weren't there to see. She was like a rock for them and lauged and played with them. They came out negative in the end

I love Annie.

Annie is lovely but when I saw that ad I thought "eh?". I think the Christmas album is the domain of has-beens wanting seasonal sales ie. Cliff, Lena Martell, Daniel O'Donnell etc" - It's all very odd that someone of her calibre has done this and obviously made videos for it in the height of Summer. Has she been declared bankrupt recently or become born-again??

Haven't seen the promo (yet) but... Annie Lennox is quality.

She may be mad/old etc. but she CAN sing and I love her voice.

She could show those X-Factor wannabes a thing or two.

Suncottage I dont beleive it. Lena allegedly had an alcohol problem. She was running out of money so sold her house and bought a tenement flat in Glasgow. Everyone outside was beside themselves because a "star" had moved into the street. She opened the window and looked out and shouted. What the f...k are you all looking at? Another thing, every song she sung ended in Oh Yeah. She should be selling her annual Christmas CD soon on tv and I bet she has on an old granny hat on the front cover. Oh Yeah.
