""In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users ""

MaudOHara · 10/11/2010 22:05

Well some are mildly amusing, some are downright rude but others feed on other peoples sadness and have caused a lot of upset by getting posters to relive their painful experiences.

sensiblesusannigella · 10/11/2010 22:08

ah so some of them are actually mean but some are just having a laugh

its a song. One of my challenges is to get a flouncer to stay and I thought I'd do it through the medium of E17. Don't think its going to be successful as the flouncers have already gone.

WookieetheChew · 10/11/2010 22:48

E17? Okie dokie.

So if it worked, and the flouncer stayed, would you be quite pleased with.. oneself?

PinkieMinx · 10/11/2010 22:48

hugglymugly · 10/11/2010 23:03

From wiki:

E17 or E-17 may be:

  • European route E17
  • E-17, British pop group, originally (and more famously) known as East 17
  • Enlightenment (X window manager) release 17
  • E17, a postcode district in the E postcode area
  • Ever17, a Japanese visual novel
  • A type of Edison screw with a diameter of 17 mm
  • HMS E17, a British submarine of World War I

I think an Edison screw looks interesting.

WookieetheChew · 10/11/2010 23:04

They might be more effective in getting flouncers to stay as well, huggly.
