to ponder alternative uses of Call of Duty: Black Ops disc?

DP arrived home tonight with the (newly released) game for grown men, Call of Duty Black Ops. He did dinner then asked to play for half an hour. This turned into an hour and a quarter...

AIBU to sit here, whilst happily faffing on MN, thinking of all the evil things I want to do to the disc? Current ideas include: coaster, frisbee, thing to get Immac off me legs etc. Any others?! Grin

I too am a Call of Duty widow. Perhaps a suncatcher?

MargueriteArgeneau · 09/11/2010 21:40

Does he play it online with a mic and headset yet? My husband will stay up playing with his "clan" until 4 am.

jimblejambles · 09/11/2010 21:41

I have already threatened to let ds2 clean the disc with cif and wire wool.

SecretNutellaFix · 09/11/2010 21:41

Ignore. Use the time to MN.Smile

QuizteamBleakley · 09/11/2010 21:43

Oh God, yeah. He and all his special friends all go on together. I took him to a lapdancing club when the last one was released - just to get blood moving to other than his thumbs!

DS and Dneph both got it today (own money purchases) cue lots of extremely questionable language and yelling. Had to shut the windows in case the neighbours call SS.

Ugh, the headset thing is evil! I'm thinking about leaving it out for the dog to chew when DH gets the black ops thing. Hopefully I can fend it off till Christmas.

How about giving it to the dc's with some pva glue, glitter and some ribbon? They could make a collage.

Magna · 09/11/2010 21:45

As secret says ignore it and use the time for MN without him moaning like mine does - thank god he has got F1 at the moment dreading it when he gets bored

BoneyBackJefferson · 09/11/2010 21:47

He is on black ops your on MN.

I don't see the difference or the problem. Unless you count him asking for permission:)

TeaOneSugar · 09/11/2010 21:48

DH is downstairs playing with his clan, having stood in a queue at midnight last night to make sure none of them played it before him. He's actually rearranged his shifts this week specially Hmm.

newmum001 · 09/11/2010 21:48

The wireless headset isn't too bad but when it needs charging the hidious Madonna headset comes out! To make matters worse he sits in the chair next to the window with it on, cue stares from all the neighbours!

DP is planning a late night tonight as he also got the new COD today so i might suggest he do the night feeds as he is going to be up anyway and i shall get some much needed sleep. Doubt it though!!

PersonalClown · 09/11/2010 21:50

I'm with Nutella.

I use the peace to take over the tv, not share my choc and all the other things he'd nag at me about.

TeaOneSugar · 09/11/2010 21:51

DH was up until 4am this morning playing it, the sound of muffled gun fire coming from your lounge is rather disturbing in the middle of the night.

BoobyMcLeaky · 09/11/2010 21:53

Mmmm, if you melt it a bit you'll be able to bend it into a bit of art?

I hate it when they get all irate at it 'but I shot him first!!', 'where did he come from', 'are you on mn? GET OFF you're making my internet slow!!' etc etc. Yawn.

Tip: If you start downloading stuff or playing games (farmville works particularly well) it completely knacks it up for them Wink

QuizteamBleakley · 09/11/2010 21:57

Ooh, just ordering MiL a lovely photo diary from Photobox. It's a photo per week, 52 lots of some 5 meg thingies... Cue: "Quiz, it's glitching, it's glitching. I can't play this, let's watch a film"

Gawd love 'im Grin

My son hasn't got it yet! the reviews are good but apparently not as good as the hype.

Son sits using the main tv 7 days a week with a head set on skype and one on for Xbox.

Oh and texts too. I get to sit at the PC doing nothing other than well nothing.

If I wanna watch anything I go to my room!

Madness.

Grown men though! Pah! Use the time to go out clubbing or bingo with your mates so he can babysit as he is at home.

WanderingSheep · 09/11/2010 22:06

Aw, bless them! DH is the same. His came today he kept ringing me like a child waiting for father Christmas , "has it come yet?" I don't mind, he goes upstairs while I get control over the TV and can MN in peace. I find it quite cute that he's sat there with his little headset on chatting to his mates like they're actually performing a real military operation! Grin

QuizteamBleakley · 10/11/2010 22:26

Day two in the Black Ops house and I have been promised a foot, leg and back massage equating to the length of time DP plays tonight! Y'know, this might work Grin
