To think men's 'fashion' is ridiculously bonkers

My DBrother has popped in, bloody jeans four inches down his arse, pink underpants for everyoe to see (although he is wearing a belt that seems to have no function) and with said baggy arse jeans tucked into a pair of huge work boots- with the laces all baggy and not tied up!
Why???
It looks really odd!he's 25 ffs not 14! Do women really find this half dressed look attractive?

Ahh the fallen out of bed look.

I cant stand it!

nocake · 09/11/2010 15:57

is it just me that wants to run up behind lads dressed like that and yank their trousers down.... then run away laughing Grin

maktaitai · 09/11/2010 16:00

The belt's wrong, isn't it? I thought the jeans hanging down thing was supposed to be like prisoners who've had their belts taken away due to the suicide risk? Hmm

I can't remember whether Vivienne Westwood once did a straitjacket or whether it was that spoof Westwood collection on Alan Partridge.

Hedgeblunder · 09/11/2010 16:01

Where dis it come from? One neighbours lad actually wears jeans under his arse

I am always tempted to grab the side of these jeans and haul them up like I used to do to DS and give them a good shake into them, horrible fashion? and he is too old for this anyway.

TheBigZing · 09/11/2010 16:06

It baffles me what is actually holding those trousers up - they seem to defy gravity!

And yes, they look utterly ridiculous. Every time I see that get-up I imagine the lad's embarrassment in years to come when he looks back; or the ridicule of his grandchildren when he shows them photos Grin

Minione · 09/11/2010 16:17

I teach in a school that doesn't have a uniform. I am sick and tired at looking at backsides all day and constantly having to tell young men to pull their trousers up. It also makes them look like they have tiny, short legs - I tell them this but they look at me like I am the old woman of the hills (I'm 31 btw so not that old!)

NeedToSleepZZZ · 09/11/2010 17:33

I cannot take anyone wearing jeans this low seriously and have been known to just laugh at strangers in the street because of it. I love the way it makes them walk as if they've just done something in their pants.... Grin I recommend that any parents of these teenage fashion icons take LOADS of photos of them to show them in a few years time. Can't believe your brother is doing this at 25 years old, you should really have a little chat with him, maybe show him this thread.

I was teaching in a school for French students until recently and the boys had just started to copy this trend, and I always thought the French were stylish Grin

nocake · 11/11/2010 15:42

I spotted a lad in Italy last year copying the style. It really didn't work with his uber-cool shirt and tight trousers Grin
