to detest 'fake' clothes

like jumpers or cardigans that look like they have shirts or other tops underneath but they don't. Its just a bit of a shirt/top sewm on. It doesn't even look convincing. Am considering boycotting Next.

To detest them? YABU. I didn't realise anyone had that strong a feeling about clothes!

TattyDevine · 09/11/2010 10:40

What about those t-shirts with a tie drawn on? You must really hate them...

Tidey · 09/11/2010 10:40

YANBU. I saw some imaginary pants once and my head nearly spun around.

Francagoestohollywood · 09/11/2010 10:41

YANBU, I agree!

ShatnersBassoon · 09/11/2010 10:43

YANBU. Why put a fake T-shirt panel in the V of a neckline, when you're going to need to put a T-shirt under the jumper anyway. Why?

Thingumy · 09/11/2010 10:44

imaginary pants? what like? printed over a pair of trousers?

PlentyOfPockets · 09/11/2010 10:44

I don't like them. They remind me of the dresses my mum used to buy me with pretend pockets Angry

kreecherlivesupstairs · 09/11/2010 10:45

YABU. one of my favourite tops is a fake cardigan/shirt combo. All though I will admit I loathe the label. It is all scratchy.

wingandprayer · 09/11/2010 10:46

And they always wash really badly because they are two or more different fabrics that shrink at different rates. You end up wearing a shrunken jumper with a puckered bit of shirting attached. Nice.

loonies · 09/11/2010 10:46

Exactly Shatners exactly.

Tatty those bother me less as they are obviously a joke IYSWIM

Hate fake pockets what's the point?!

AbsofCroissant · 09/11/2010 10:47

YANBU. The clothing is confusing. HATE it. What happens if you're wearing the shirt/jumper fakey combo and you get all hot? You can't remove the jumper, can you. Yeah.

Tidey · 09/11/2010 10:50

I was just being silly before.

My DD has some dresses that look like they have long sleeved t-shirts under them, I think they look quite sweet. DS has some layered effect t-shirts too. Fine for kids clothes, but I wouldn't wear them myself.

ZZZenAgain · 09/11/2010 10:50

I find them a bit strange too

Thingumy · 09/11/2010 10:52

DS has some layered tops from Boden. They look fine.

I don't shop in Next, their clothes are shite imo.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 09/11/2010 11:02

Mine hasn't shrunk in any way. possibly Swiss supermarket clothing is superior [doubtful]
