BTW, I'm very much appreciating the opportunity to chat about Corrie. It's something I'd never do in front of RL friends!

It's the only TV programme that I watch regularly and I have done all my life. My earliest memory is staying up to watch Corrie with my mother, before she wrapped me up warm and took me down the road to the payphone so I could say "Night night" to my father, who had to work away a lot.

Ooo, these nostalgic feelings aren't helping me cope with the death of Jack Duckworth!

I do remember my Mum shattering my illusion that Corrie was real, by telling me that the stairs in Gail Platt's house actually went nowhere.

Innocence lost and I've never quite recovered!

GH and MrsM - me too! My earliest Corrie memory is when a truck crashed into the front of the Rovers and Deidre thought Tracey had been killed because she'd left her outside in her pram.

I remember the publicity when Jack and Vera first moved into the street. Can't quite believe I've watched the whole 30 odd year character arc.

Plus I'm a northerner exiled in Norfolk so it's nostalgia central for me.

I'm indoctrinating introducing dd1 to the lovely family tradition of Corrie watching.

Do not say that about Gail Platt's house, MrsMoosickle!
