i think it's funny that you are getting so wound up over a t-shirt..... Grin

classydiva · 08/11/2010 18:52

Doesnt piss me off. If you got the courage, and the body why not.

HalfTermHero · 08/11/2010 18:55

Assuming you are female, gobbledegook, the joke is indeed on you and the rest of us women. It is sadly ironic that you are laughing at yourself.

ASecretLemonadeDrinker · 08/11/2010 18:56

Not really that funny. Now, what would have been funny is a (tongue in cheek!) T-shirt just saying "I support single mums" ...

darleneconnor · 08/11/2010 19:00

YADNBU

Anyone who would wear/buy this deserves that pole shoved up their

BoffinMum · 08/11/2010 19:05

It's a bit shit and tasteless but at the same time makes a political statement.

I had a great offensive t-shirt that said over my (big) norks

"ALL THIS"

and then in little writing a bit lower down

"and brains"

but I never had the guts to wear it to work.

BoffinMum · 08/11/2010 19:07

The t-shirt in question ought to have said "I support students" as a surprisingly number of mine seem to have to take their kit off professionally in order to eat.

Shameful.

BigBadMummy · 08/11/2010 19:10

It is trying to get a reaction.

There is another that says "Pikey. Just nick it".

I don't like it so I wont buy it. That is all we can do I think.

Some people will find it funny and will buy one.

They do say a fool and their money are soon parted.

newwave · 08/11/2010 19:17

Christ almighty, it's a poxy T shirt with a poor "joke" on it, no one died. How anyone can be incensed by this is beyond me. There are enough real issues to get het up about without making a mountain out of a very tiny mole hill.

MaMoTTaT · 08/11/2010 19:25

it is listen under "offensive" T-shirts to be fair.....

VinegarTits · 08/11/2010 19:28

sorry but i did when i opened that link Grin i wouldnt wear it but its funny

HerBeatitude · 08/11/2010 19:29

It's silly to say it's just a t-shirt. If it were just a t-shirt, it wouldnt' have a slogan on it at all.

It's a t-shirt which displays a mysogynist attitude to women. Are there any t-shirts with racist slogans in the offensive section? Would it be "just a t-shirt" then?

HerBeatitude · 08/11/2010 19:30

Why is it funny vinegartits?

newwave · 08/11/2010 19:31

I almost expect a horde of radical netters outside the shop bearing placards with "behead those who offend single mums" and "to hell with your freedom of T shirts" :o

SparklingExplosionGoldBrass · 08/11/2010 19:32

I dunno. Actually, I can see a certain type of bloke wearing this shirt in a self-deprecating sort of way, because one reading of it is 'I am a bit sad and can't get a girlfriend. I do like to look at women in lingerie/the nude, so I sometimes go to poledancing clubs. I feel bad about this so I try to justify myself by saying that I am supporting women in a difficult situation. Or at least that;s what I want you to think...'

VinegarTits · 08/11/2010 19:33

its a joke t shirt, i found it funny, doesnt mean you have too

QueenGigantaurofMnet · 08/11/2010 19:52

the link is that the guy goes to lapdancing bars which employ single mothers and therefore he is paying thei wages.

it would seem.

It is designed to get people with a sense of humour failure to grab their bag to their bossom and pull a cats arse for a face.

its barely funny, maybe smirk worthy.
anyone wearing it is a wanker, but its not worth getting "offended" over.

i think you need to get out more if you get upset over such things tbh

Do you mean you were pissed off by a t-shirt belonging to a single mum, who you believe was not really a single mum at all?

Single mum's t-shirt = t-shirt belonging to a single mum.

'Single mum's' t-shirt = t-shirt belonging to someone who purports to be a single mum but you have your doubts?

TrillianAstra · 08/11/2010 19:58

Shall we re-caption the picture?

I'm thinking "Supporting the next generation of graduates"

Panzee · 08/11/2010 19:59

I'm a single mum and I laughed. Ah well.

TrillianAstra · 08/11/2010 19:59
PaisleyLeaf · 08/11/2010 20:01

Boffinmum, there is one for your students too

pikey just nick it is funny.

i know a traveller (pikey) that wears a hoody with it on all the time.

not as good as "fuck a fat bird, they call it excercise" i saw that on a bloke recently. he looked at me ( a seriously fat bird) and blushed. at least have the courage of your convictions (in his case probably theft of a motor vehicle)
