Today I logged on :

Friend : My little man is sick:(
Friend 2 : Aw poor little man. My little man is a bit ill too.
Friend 1 : Hope your little man gets better soon. My little man is filling (sic) a bit better today.
Friend 3 : Hey Friend 1. Hope you are well x.
Friend 1: Hey Friend 3. Im good. Hows your little man?

My brain actually exploded.

And then, to make it worse, another friend posted that her little man was alone at home tonight. I was horrified! But. She meant. Her CAT.

Confused

Do not call your children or your animals 'little man'. Or you may get splashed by the vomit.

AnnVeronica · 07/11/2010 12:37

YANBU. I'm increasingly hiding more and more FB friends in my feed. Smug-as-fuck posts about baby-led weaning and the like. The worst offender refers to her DS as "lil' man". Truly vomtastic.

lovescake83 · 07/11/2010 12:39

I kept picturing Village of the Damned with all these identical kids all called Little Man. Who is to know who is who!

The cat one just topped it off.

I call my dog wee man Blush in my defence it does mean faerie/elf though!

I have a FB friend who constantly updates her status to let us all know about her DD's ear infection. She updates at least once a day, soetimes more often, along the lies of:

'Yay! My poor little angel has got new anti-biotics.'

'Oh No! My poor little baby girl's ears are still hurting...'

'My poor wee angel is finally sleeping now.'

'My poor little bubba is awake again.'

I want to punch my computer screen every time I see one of her 'ickle angel' updates. Wrong.

I have a few people who go on and on about their babies.

I am just playing with * now.

I can't tear myself away from

BLah blah blah

I always want to post... "then exactly how are you facebooking?"

Mammie81 · 07/11/2010 12:50

Ive had about 6 months of my friends comments on her daughters sleeping patterns.

Because of this, my own sleeping patterns are fine Wink

boogeek · 07/11/2010 12:59

I have a friend who posts every other day or so things along the lines of "I just love my baby so much", "I am so lucky to have such a wonderful baby", etc etc. What's wrong with telling us all what she is having for tea like everybody else does?

booyhoo · 07/11/2010 13:01

yuck. i hate this. i know people love their kids, but the rest of the world doesn't!! we think you're dull.
