To think our neighbours were BU last night

One of our neighbours lives in front of our house on the road, our drive sweeps behind them they have a small patio garden.

Last night they had a lot of big fireworks that went on for 3 hours and literally rained down on our house. This morning there are at least a dozen stakes on our back garden. I worried about what our roof and chimneys are going to look like. We moved our car to the road so hopefully that is ok.

AIBU to go round and complain today, they only moved in a few weeks ago so we don't know them not had any problem with them though.

Thanks for your opinions.

YABU. People do tend to have fireworks at this time of year. It's not unheard of. And fireworks do have to return to earth at some point. The ones in your garden could be from anywhere.

I would be trying to make friends with them. perhaps they are really fun people.

If it makes you feel any better, my former neighbours spat on my baby because they were, are probably still are, big fat racists. That's why I started reading this. They also used to pour petrol on our doorstep.

It has helped me get on with my new neighbours since then! Our new ones had a teenage boy party a few weeks ago and I hope they had a nice time, really do. Falling out with your neighbours, even if they are not such big bastards as mine were, is not a good idea. You have to live there.

Wow some people are horrible. I also now feel more than a bit silly, note to self don't be so uptight.

Thank you.

spat on your baby Shock

savoycabbage · 07/11/2010 08:07

I did but it was a waste of time. It was four years ago and although I will never be 'over' it as they say, I have learned a lot from it, like wormdaisy said, not to be so uptight. Your new neighbours might be great people.
