My excuse is, I have to stay home in case the cats need comforting. So far the little one has shot her ears forward once when there was a huge series of flashy bangs just over the back garden, while the big one doesn't seem to have noticed anything is happening at all (except that I had chicken for dinner, he noticed that all right).

OK, so, the cats don't care. Pity it's too late to go out now innit?

I did offer to go..[lying through arse emoticon] but someone had to stay with DD Wink

DS was exhausted after nursery today and demanded to go to bed at 6pm so that put paid to fireworks!

DH left for work trip to the USA this morning so have parked my hefty 36wk pregnant self on the sofa in my PJs and am currently eating pizza and watching Ghostbusters Grin

Ok am I mad then? It would never occur to me to miss out on fireworks! I love them! DS1 & DD so excited to go to a huge bonfire & firework display tomorrow but am slightly concerned about taking DS2-5months. I was thinking I'll have him all snuggled up in a sling so he'll be nice and warm with a hat on maybe even my daughters earmuffs what do you think? Or should I stay at home with a glass of wine with DS2 whist DH takes them?

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 05/11/2010 21:44

I am a hardcore fireworks fan but I had to admit defeat tonight ! It's pissing down here! But tomorrow night I am off the mother of all firework displays!!!

Ds has declined to stand in the rain , however we live at the very top of town so he has a private show out his bedroom window Grin

laweaselmys · 05/11/2010 21:49

I'm fireworked out tbh. Still remember the boredom of London Millenium fireworks... Too long!

Annie - our cat us exactly the same. Currently asleep paying no attention.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 05/11/2010 21:51

We usually stand in our attic bedroom window and watch but I couldn't even be bothered with that tonight! I think I'm turning into a grumpy old woman
