I know i am, tell me i am being totaly stupid please.

Just been christmas shopping for DD1 and DD2, now normally DD1 who is 8 gets LOADS as she has ben an only child til this year, of course this yr she will have to have less as we cant afford alot. so far i have 4 presents for dd2 who is 5 months and 6 presents for DD1. These include

Portabale DVD player
Moonsand
bath Bomb maker
Monter high dolls x3
Blendy pens
secret dairy
Will get a couple of Wii games she wants too.

in previous yrs she has had about 20 presents and most of them go in her toy cupboard and dont get used ifkwim. But i am feeling so bad that i cant get her much this yr, i have explained it to her she understands of course and i know material things are not everything.

Please tell me to pull myself together and she will not be scarred for life for only getting a few things.

She'll be absolutely fine, and be able to actually find the toys she gets in her cupboards! :)

Tidey · 05/11/2010 15:39

Please don't feel bad, it actually sounds like quite a lot of presents to me, and really lovely things too.

From your list, it sounds like you have spent a lot of money on her presents. I wouldn't say that you haven't got her 'much'.

ApocalypseCheese · 05/11/2010 15:43

But she has loads !!

ray81 · 05/11/2010 15:48

God i have spent a fortune i need to pull myself together.

she get things from grand parents and some of my closest friends so i know she will be fine.

I was just about to say, don't forget she will have other gifts. I went over the top until last year when I realised I was having to hold some presents back because it was just too much, they get overwhelmed by it. There were a couple of things I didn't give at all until their next Birthday.
