...in thinking fresh croutons exist?

I've ordered lunch from a new place that dropped off samples at my office yesterday.

Shredded lettuce with a few bits of chicken, ceasar dressing and croutons.

Now as I'm eating I'm thinking 'these croutons are a bit stale' and then immediately reprimanded myself since croutons are chopped up stale bread aren't they?

Not usually a food numpty by the way just don't deal with croutons too often Grin

They're toast rather than stale bread, so if they were left out they would be chewy and not crispy.

Not a good advert for a new business.

Thanks AgentZigZag that's kind of what I thought.

They'd also scattered crisps looseley across the top of the wrapped sandwiches/salads which I thought was very weird.

Crips also were getting on for stale and one lunch had the crisps missing altogether.

Am considering e-mailing to let them have the feedback but not sure if that's not a but snooty and rude Hmm

If they are new, they should be thankful for feedback. If no-one told them about less than good experiences, how would they know to correct it?

Good point - think I'll let them know. I'd prefer to be told if it was my business.
