to worry about who my friends are on Facebook?

Had a friend request from someone who I was very close friends with for a very long time, but then fell out with about 5 years ago when she didn't think I'd spent enough money on her wedding present Hmm. She basically just stopped speaking with me (live a distance from me so didn't see each other very often), but had been extremely close friend before then and had grown up together.

Am I being unreasonable to worry about whether to confirm her as a friend or just decline her request.

I know I'm being silly really, but it's really bugging me.

Would you like to be friends with her again?

ASecretLemonadeDrinker · 04/11/2010 19:47

just accept, she may say sorry (plus then you can be nosey)

ASecretLemonadeDrinker · 04/11/2010 19:47

what did you buy her & how much did you spend? Grin

I wouldn't accept if I still held a grudge Grin

My husband did her photos for her, so all of his time on the day plus getting them printed and put in an album. Probably spent about £100 as they were hand developed to make sure the colours were correct etc.

I don't think I'm holding a grudge I was genuinely upset that she stopped speaking to me (was pregnant at the time so maybe I was a bit emotional)

oooh add her and go to her wedding album and say "nice pics, they look like REALLY EXPENSIVE professional ones"

I think that she could have apologised to you in the friend request. I think you should only accpet if you really want to be friends again.

Preggersplayspop · 04/11/2010 19:52

That's very generous!

I think life is too short to hold grudges about something like that. If she was once a close friend I would accept. Mind you, if she had like 600 fb friends I probably wouldn't. I don't want to be there to make up the numbers.

usualsuspect · 04/11/2010 19:53

Oh just add her to have a nosey if nothing else and lol @ ASecretLemonadeDrinker

choufleur · 04/11/2010 19:58

Can see her photos without being her friend and there aren't any wedding ones there ASecretLemondadeDrinker.
