Seriously. I ignore 99% of phone calls from friends & family just because I haven't got time to chat/a spare hand to hold the phone.

If I had one of those headset thinigies, I could chat and simultaneously load dishwasher/cook tea/iron etc and maybe even have time to catch up with friends when DCs are watching telly working on challenging jigsaw puzzles.

Little handsfree thing that comes with phone is useless and I am always being told that I sound like I'm in a fish tank, and I don't want to spend my evenings on phone because I would never get to watch tv chat to DH.

I know my single and childless friends are starting to think I am rude, but I just don't have time to spend the 20 minutes required on idle chit chat during the day.

Plus I would look a bit of a twat important and J-Lo-esque, Non?

Not unreasonable at all. I've often thought the same.

I was given one as a birthday present and thought I would never use it. I do now though and potter about doing stuff as I chat.

Agree that the fiddly hands-free thing is useless, keeps falling off and is more trouble than its worth.

Clearly in order to channel my inner J-Lo properly, I will have to invest in tight velour tracksuit with diamante trim and big hoop earrings but at least I can keep my fat round bottom :)

Seriously, think I have to get one. Just googled them and they are v.cheap.
