to want to live in the middle of a field somewhere

with no neighbours who bang doors, random passers by dropping stuff through the letter box and general QUIET during the day so that DS can get a bit of sleep without being woken up!!! Grrrrr..... he usually has a nap for 1/1/2 -2hrs but has only had 40mins because of this. He won't go down again so now will be a whingy moaning mess most of the afternoon.

Well, I know that i'd go mental living in the middle of nowhere

I like the hustle and bustle of urban living

Something quite comforting in being able to hear your upstairs neighbour take a piss Hmm Wink

But not good having a whingey baby so you are NBU there!

YANBU on one hand, but, our DD was exposed to a lot of noise when she was tiny (building site next door) and has been able to sleep through various loud parties and noisy neighbours.

SalFresco · 03/11/2010 13:19

YABU.

You'd be sick of it after a day. Honest Grin

YANBU ... I have next doors teenage boys slamming doors left right and centre and their layabout father banging around out the back, creating noise with drills and an axel grinder for no reason other than he is bored.

I want a field.

i actually do live in a tiny village and love it, its just so frustrating when you know the day is messed up by something like that. He CAN sleep through noise, smoke alarms, crashing bin lids etc but naps are trickier than night time.

I don't care where I live so long as it's on my own with no males wanting to talk to me/ whinge at me/ bicker with each other/ get me up way too early /watch golf/watch Mickey Mouse/bore me with full details of Call of Duty.

Ok maybe just for a couple of days. I s'pose I love them all really.

FindingGuysMojo · 03/11/2010 14:31

YANU - my bug bear is the amount of rubbish on our streets & around our flat. Neighbours flytip rather than get a key for the bin cupboard - its soooooo depressing!

WhyHavePets · 03/11/2010 14:32

YANBU, I don't have small dc but would still love to live well away from the rest of the world Grin

CountryDweller · 03/11/2010 14:45

Replace the noisy neighbours with the sound of tractors all day and well into the night when its harvest time. The smell of muck spreading Angry and the fact that because your field is probably near/in a small community what the villagers don't already know about you they'll make up anyway GrinWelcome to my world.

Sounds good to me CD!
