.... keeping 7 mo dd amused with toys,cuddles,bf.. and just getting up when absolutely necessary -for cups of tea,the loo and then late, when other dc get in from school?

I feel very guilty,as if I should be doing stuff, but am absolutely, totally exhausted due to no sleep last night....

Please tell me it's ok...or tell me to get on with something.....

I'm doing the same, with the same guilty feeling, as my DD was poorly last night so I was up with her every hour or so. She's snoozing on my lap at the moment... Smile

YANBU.
I have the house to myself for the first time in months. I have loads of jobs to do but haven't moved yet. Might go for a bubble bath though.

ASecretLemonadeDrinker · 03/11/2010 12:39

i'm doing it with 4mo. BFing, cuddling, MNing, tea & wee :)

PeggysEvilTwin · 03/11/2010 12:40

Enjoy it. Last week me, dh and ds spent the WHOLE day in bed watching DVDs! It was lovely, and I did not feel even a little bit guilty.

YANBU. I'm 39 weeks pg, not sleeping (one hour last night), stinking cold and DD (3.1) is currently watching half an hour of Cbeebies.

Too tired to be jolly, active mummy at the moment...

pinemartina · 03/11/2010 12:43

Mm,well I have been doing very little else since starting mat leave last Jan....

When pg and before she was sitting up,I felt it was ok...but now I have trouble switching off the "I'll get up in a minute and..." feeling!

So not really letting go ....

At least you made it out of bed. I'm sat in bed on laptop with 18wk old snuggling.

Rarely get up before lunchtime. Isn't that what my maternity leave is for? LOL

Must get up though - off to 'under 1's'(free at the childrens centre) for a gossip.

Enjoy your day!
