I mean - this is the fella that prances around the stage shouting at everyone, no? Very funny but at bedtime hour?

Odd, I think.

oh I always find the story-reading slebs a bit disconcerting. David Tennant - I mean, Dr Who?! Martin Freeman - he will always be Tim from The Office. And Little Mo from Eastenders Shock

bundlebelly · 31/10/2010 18:27

Oh but he's lovely, and not shouty, but he does prance! He's always talking about his kids, and is SO funny. Love him!
So much better than that ginger incestuous freak off Eastenders from last week. Vile.

buttonmoon78 · 31/10/2010 18:28

I do love him - I larfed my head off at some of his dates touring the 'provinces'. But it's just odd. I agree with the David Tennant thing too.

In fact all of them. What's wrong with the oddballs who present all day doing it?

Max from Eastenders too. And Denise, trying to sound posh!

That said, I'm obviously going to keep watching now as he'll probably be quite funny!

Hasn't he got some comedy routine at the moment about him doing the reading of the story as well? Sure it was on his show a couple of weeks ago.

He was in the Asda we'd popped to since we were on our way back from something on Friday. They'd had Jordan the day before, and Peter Andre on Monday - would I be evil to think it would have been funner to have that pair scheduled together and save on fireworks budgets?!

Teaandcakeplease · 31/10/2010 18:36

He made me laugh in his comedy roadshow the other week when he was talking about how much he disliked filming for the bedtime hour, it was really really funny how he explained it.

I've been trying to find a clip on youtube of it but I can't seem to. Ahh well I love him, he's one of the few comedians I still enjoy watching. Clean and funny.

I love Michael McIntyre. I think he was talking about it on Paul O'Grady live. He just seems so lovely! Something about him makes me warm to him. I think its because he smiles all the time!

TethHearseEnd · 31/10/2010 18:46

You think that's weird. I just took DD to the museum of childhood to see a band (don't ask) and Cerrie and Alex were sat in the audience surrounded by confused preschoolers.

bundlebelly · 31/10/2010 18:49

Ooh were they on a date?!

sethstarkaddersmummyreturns · 31/10/2010 18:54

that's weird. were they holding hands?

Teaandcakeplease · 31/10/2010 18:58

Alex is married isn't he? Shock Are they having an affair? Wink

bundlebelly · 31/10/2010 19:08

Is Alex the tall, slightly werewolfish one? I love it when they sing the numbers song!

TethHearseEnd · 31/10/2010 19:13

No Alex is the one I was convinced was gay, but it turns out he's married and Cerrie was there with her DD. They weren't holding hand(s).

bundlebelly · 31/10/2010 19:17

God, how can Cerrie have a dd (and a job!), she looks about 18. And if Alex is the one that sings the nightnight song with her, then maybe he is married, but it must be to another manboy.
I feel old.

Teaandcakeplease · 31/10/2010 19:25

Cerrie Burnell is a year younger than me. She was born in 1979. Burnell is unmarried, and has a daughter, Amelie, born in 2008.

Wiki link

Alex Winters was born in 1977 apparently.

TethHearseEnd · 31/10/2010 19:33

I met Cerrie on the bus once. Her DD is the same age as mine and we got chatting about what was on in the area. This was before I'd ever seen cbeebies, so had no idea who she was.

As she got off the bus with her (two handled) buggy, I asked her if she needed a hand.

She did this face Hmm

I don't blame her.

Teaandcakeplease · 31/10/2010 19:37

I quite like what the wiki link says: "Burnell's parents encouraged her to wear a prosthetic arm, but she resisted from the start, and stopped wearing one entirely when she was nine. She says her disability did not hinder her from doing what she wanted, including "sports, swimming, windsurfing, singing in the choir or joining the Army cadets." As a teenager, she worked as a hotel chambermaid during summers, and travelled widely, working in a leprosy clinic in India, and volunteering in Brazil."

I'd love to have her sort of strength and determination. Amazing. Poor woman got so much hassle when she first started presenting CBeebies too.

Panzee · 31/10/2010 19:39

bundlebelly That's Andy. I have a bit of a crush on him [hblush]

TethHearseEnd · 31/10/2010 19:47

It didn't stop her getting a two handled buggy either.
