I love fireworks but only for Nov 5th, not for two weeks before and after. It's not fair on the poor animals.

Would ban or confine to one hour period - 7-8 or 8-9. Dog is terrified and was in such a state last night he couldn't control his bladder. We had fireworks going off round here from 8pm until after midnight in surrounding streets. This will go on all week and well into next. From past experience it will feel like World War III is going off in the back gardent on Nov 5.

i agree too, had some being let off outside my window at 3 this morning, followed by drunken laughs and oohs and ahhs, whats even more frustrating is i know if i yelled out the window to tell em to bugger off i'd wake up ds

Sometimes Diwali falls before halloween though. This year it is 5th Nov but next year it is 26th Oct.

I hate them! I am ok with organised events in big fields, but not in residential areas and at 10.30 at night. The dd's and cats are petrified. Grrrrrrr..
