stock maternity tights?

I went in today. Mothercare selection was awful. Only had thick grey wolly tights or 15 denier black ones.

Went in M & S. Ours is enormous. Found the tights. The biggest tights collection I have ever seen! I ask someone. No they don't stock maternity tights, only bras and leggings. [hhmm]

Walked past Peacocks, DH said why not give them a try. Bingo, 70 denier black maternity tights that were half price too!

If Peacocks can manage it with their very limited Maternity collection and much smaller shops, surely a huge chain like M & S who are bloody known for their underwear could have a few pairs of maternity tights?

Or am I expecting too much?

M&S never have tights in my size. So I order them online and pick them up a few days later. No delivery charge.

God I have never even heard of maternity tights! I hate tights though and would despise them whilst pregnant....why don't you write and ask them. NO god complaning on here...write a letter and ask why they don't have them.

CrazyPlateLady · 31/10/2010 16:36

Maybe I'll email. Can't be bothered to write a letter. Just couldn't understand how a shop that had such a huge selection of everything underwear wise, didn't stock a few pairs of maternity tights.

M&S do do some (maternity tights), you can order online and they deliver to the store BUT they are dreadful, always falling down, do not recommend.

lifeinagoldfishbowl · 31/10/2010 16:45

Could you not have bought normal tights but just in a bigger size?

CrazyPlateLady · 31/10/2010 16:52

Maybe not such a bad thing then MumNW.

Life I like things over the bump. Have had under the bump before and it drives me mad. Needs to be touching my boobs for it to be comfortable. [hgrin]

I didn't buy maternity pants or tights, just turned them round the other way. It was surprisingly comfortable!

KenDoddsDadsZombieDogsNotDead · 31/10/2010 16:58

I bought proper maternity tights from Next. Wasn't too impressed when they fell down walking down the corridor at work Blush

I had some Boots ones. They were excellent.

H & M ones were the best for me, but they kept going out of stock.
