To moan about everything and enjoy doing it...

DH and I realised tonight that when we finally get to hold the tv remote (ie when the children have gone to bed), we then spend most of the night flicking from programme to programme, having a little moan about it, then going on the next (god I can't stand him; how much makeup is she wearing; I can't believe people watch this crap... blah, blah).

Even if we watch something all the way through we keep pausing it to moan. We could just switch the tv off, I know, but we don't, which must mean we enjoy moaning.

Why do I love moaning so much? Is it just a sign of getting old?

I am sending my dh round to yours, he would love it. He routinely pauses the TV to moan make an insightful critique, needless to say I find if really fucking annoying refreshing

I moan about the telly too. OTOH, as we only receive BBC1 and 2, I feel justified [wink[

you can pause tv???

SuePurblybilt · 25/10/2010 08:57

I only watch to moan. I have been watching and bitching on the XF thread for years without any intention of voting/buying the music/ever allowing myself to like any of them.
I even tut at Gardeners World [hgrin]. If I watch something like Wife Swap ( I only like crap telly) then I can lose my voice shouting. YANBU at all, at all.

I used to do that. (It is a sign of old-age, yes) So I switched the TV off completely and bought an e-book instead!!!
