I'd do a 360, take it all back and apologise to just about anyone for £200k-£250k per week.

Why on earth does anyone believe it is ever about anything but money?

Why does anyone care?

It's just a game!

there is a lot i'd do for that sort of money

Even sit through a match of pumped up over paid morons without complaining.

saffy85 · 23/10/2010 09:12

Still sickening though isn't it? And Rooney no doubt wonders why no one actually likes him? And yes I'd do a 360 for that kind of money. [shameless emotion]

Vallhalloween · 23/10/2010 09:28

I don't understand all this moaning about the salary of someone who is employed in private industry.

I couldn't give a monkeys how much Rooney's paid and certainly don't begrudge him his income. Until the day comes where the taxpayer pays the wages bill at Old Trafford or I start supporting the red scum and putting my money through their turnstiles he'll never get a penny from me.

I've no interest in his sex life either.
I don't like him though, but that's purely because I think his ability on the pitch is over-rated.

I'm just thanking god he never ended up at Stamford Bridge!

NestaFiesta · 23/10/2010 09:37

I think its obscene and offensive that his smug mug is everywhere and he's earning a million a month for his two brain cells whilst on the same front pages, people are struggling with brutal cuts to jobs and services.

He will never be liked for this. It just shows that football is all about money and sponsorship and power these days.

Tee2072 · 23/10/2010 09:39

He acts more childish than my 16 month old.

Rindercella · 23/10/2010 09:39

I wouldn't care, but why on Earth has it been headline news (and normal news to boot, not just sports news)? Hmm

Has kept DH happy/entertained at least. Actually, DH should've had a bet - he predicted Rooney would stay at Man U earlier in the week.

FleurDelacour · 23/10/2010 09:48

This story is even front page news today in Singapore's Straits Times.

PS surely if you do a 360 you are facing the same way as before
