When the MW did the dts' heel prick, she put the wrong NHS numbers on the cards (dt1's number on dt2's card and vice versa). Now the screening people are saying we have to redo the heel prick.
My argument is that they could tell us the results for the cards already done. If both clear, we know there is no need for retesting. If either shows a problem, then we'd retest both to be sure which baby the result refers to. MW says the cards have been analysed, but the screening people won't share the results for "audit purposes".
It seems petty of them to force dts to have more heel pricks (now they're older and will scream more) when telling us the results of the two cards together would determine whether repeat tests are necessary. Or am I missing something?
