Photoshopping MIL's outfit in the wedding photos

If she picked my favourite colour is it OK to change it?

OP posts:
fedupofnamechanging · 22/10/2010 10:49

Only if she never sees the photos and/or you don't want her to speak to you ever again!

SheWillBeLoved · 22/10/2010 10:51

I don't understand? She is wearing your favourite colour, and you want to change it? Or you want to change it to your favourite colour? Confused

I'd be pretty miffed if someone decided to change the colour of my clothes on something like wedding photos!

FerminaUrbinoDaza · 22/10/2010 10:52

4/10 must try harder

Why is it bad that she wore your fave colour? Is it because it was the same as your wedding dress? Or just that MIL is never allowed to enjoy violet/red/ or whatever?

Change it to grey...and fade her out a bit so she looks ghostly....if she sees it just say,

"Yes Marg. You're fading gradually away as I replace you in your son's heart. You are nothing! Noooothiiing!...mwhahahaha!

SheWillBeLoved · 22/10/2010 10:55

ForMash Grin that actually made me arf out loud Grin

ForMashGetSmash · 22/10/2010 11:00

Grin shewillbeloved....I only allow my MIL fantasies out on MN...it's my safe haven where I am free to indulge.

DanceOnTheDarkSide · 22/10/2010 11:01

Oh this is only a C-. You really must try harder. Much harder!

KurriKurri · 22/10/2010 11:05

Make like Stalin, airbrush her out completely.

Casserole · 22/10/2010 11:12

Oh no, definitely do it. And then when she looks at the photo of her in her red suit that is now green, you can tell her it always was green and she must have some sort of transient colour blindness....

Hmm
JinnyS · 22/10/2010 11:16

YABU. The photo will be in a drawer in 5 years time anyway when you realise that your dress dates it

I read it that OP doesn't like MIL's choice of oitfit and would like to change it. I also read that she is allowing her MIL to pick her favourite colour as an alternative.

I'm really in favour of this. It will cause untold problems for years and years and will never be forgotten. Plenty of future AIBU posts to come

JinnyS · 22/10/2010 11:25

That should of course say outfit

ZacharyQuack · 22/10/2010 11:41

Airbrush her a wee mustache.

SheWillBeLoved · 22/10/2010 11:43

And a suspicious bulge between the legs. Oh the fun I'd have with a pic of MIL and photoshop Blush

HalfTermHero · 22/10/2010 11:46

Rofl at ForMash! Mil's up and down the country will read your post and weep, lol Grin

edwardcullensothermarriedwoman · 22/10/2010 11:51

I need to photoshop MIL's face in mine - she looks so miserable! Even DH was shocked - she left early and we all thought she had a face on, but she maintained that she had a lovely day Hmm
FTR, we do get on really well, so it's not as if she was against the wedding or anything.

You could just go bridezilla and tell her what colour you want her to wear Grin

ShirtyGerty · 22/10/2010 11:59

ForMash, my MIL did actually come dressed in floaty all-over ra-ra layers of ghostly grey to my wedding.

She also wore a nacklace made of carved stone beads which in the photos look like skulls.

I'm not airbrushing her though - I want the world to see her wierdness. Not many photos of us together anyway Smile

JinnyS · 22/10/2010 12:00

MIL wasn't at my wedding at all!!!!

The only person who needs a touch of the airbrush is me
