There is rife shoplifting in 2 local well known shops near me, there I am standing at the till paying for my goods and blow me I can see people nicking goods of the shelves.
No security staff around, checkout staff turning a blind eye, AIBU to contact the HO to let them know?

Why didnt you say something to the staff at the time?

I have reported it before to the staff in one shop but they seem to have turned a blind eye to it, think maybe because the shoplifters are not the sort of folk you would want to confront if you get my meaning, I would'nt even if I was behind the till.

More fool them, if they know but 'let' them do it.

Although if the people nicking stuff have mates who could cause them trouble I could kind of understand it, but it makes it sound like a small scale protection racket.
