Warburtons seeded batch bread.

On BBc news yesterday the roving reporter was out and about in a working mans house talking about the cuts and the people where complaining about losing money but in the background on the breakfast counter was a warburtons seeded loaf at about £1.70
Now if I had to tighten my belt I would be buying cheaper bread

People must realise that we have to live within our means and if that involves buying economy bread then so be it
If your income is reduced then so must your expenditure

problem solved
spend less buy cheaper

I bought a warburton's seeded batch for 65p in my local Co-op. They are always reduced. It's the best one to buy at a reduced price because it keeps a lot longer than the use by date.

DooinMeCleanin · 20/10/2010 21:19

I vote we sterilise all the poor who buy Warbutons. That'll learn them for ideas above their station.

Are you a new troll btw or just incredibly thick?

FiveOrangePips · 20/10/2010 21:19

Let them eat cake?

madugherowngrave · 20/10/2010 21:19

So what is the income level to be allowed to eat seeded batch loaf?

Panzee · 20/10/2010 21:20

If you can't claim Child Benefit, you can buy seeded batch.

madugherowngrave · 20/10/2010 21:20
Sad
Panzee · 20/10/2010 21:21

Maybe you can claim it back on your tax return.

usualsuspect · 20/10/2010 21:21

bet he was buying Benson and Hedges too, everyone knows Mayfair are cheaper

LoveBeingAMardyBum · 20/10/2010 21:22

We should just make all the poor people go into special poor sections of the shops and keep all the good food away from them Hmm

madugherowngrave · 20/10/2010 21:23

Are the Poor allowed nice ham?

DwainRooney · 20/10/2010 21:23

proudnscary
That is my little lad and he looks just like me

You mad fools I am just saying we should all live within our means and try to spend less now the cuts are coming

OP posts:
Panzee · 20/10/2010 21:24

Shit ham only if you're poor.
The aisle can be called "Pov Provisions".

onepieceoflollipop · 20/10/2010 21:24

I heard that some OAPs had been buying it too and they had the cheek to complain that if their winter fuel allowance was cut after all then they would have to buy the bread with mice in Hovis which is now a bit cheaper since the little "problem" with it.

OP are you at the library btw? Do you realise that you are literally pouring money down the drain owning/using your own pc/iphone/laptop? Shocking waste of money that is, or are you rich?

pagwatch · 20/10/2010 21:24

the trouble is it fucks you up
You go in your local supermarket and they start on you with a 'look, it is reduced - just have a little bit, for a treat. won't hurt".
Then next week they do a bogof and you start to get a taste. Then before you know it you are up to a full sized loaf a week and you stop buying milk or tampon, anything to leave enough for Warburtons.
Eventually you are selling the kids, doing petty crime - anything just to feed the endless need for that soft seeded munchiness.

If the govt weren't so bloody irresponsible they would have a supervised batch centre where people could just come in and sniff a slice to keep the worst effects at bay. But no.
You have to go cold turkey and force yourself to buy Value White Toasting loaf. It breaks yout heart. Around here you can see them all..glazed look in their eye and jammy crumbs all around their chops.
Wasted lives

Sugarmuppet · 20/10/2010 21:25

mmmm Seeded Batch...marry a breadman and you get as much bread a day as you can eat for 30p!

I highly recommend it, he bring in fruit loaf and crumpets too...yum!!!

bodycolder · 20/10/2010 21:25

Maybe he doesn't have butter on it Would that be ok?

GypsyMoth · 20/10/2010 21:25

lol at mad fools!!

onepieceoflollipop · 20/10/2010 21:26

Also if I buy cheap and nasty bread it costs more in the long run...I don't fancy eating it so end up buying chocolate or other treats because I am still hungry as the cheapo bread can be horrid.

onepieceoflollipop · 20/10/2010 21:27

bodycolder s'ok I heard he had value dripping on it. Grin

Chil1234 · 20/10/2010 21:27

But - let's get to the nitty-gritty - was the offending loaf in a Brabantia bin... Hmm?

catsmother · 20/10/2010 21:27

Well that's just it ..... I figure that since I started using dock leaves instead of tampons and value lard instead of moisturiser I can justify my seed addiction [hgrin] .

madugherowngrave · 20/10/2010 21:28

Maybe they are using the leftovers for sanitary protection?

GivesHeadlessHorseman · 20/10/2010 21:29

pag I luff you.

Mumcentreplus · 20/10/2010 21:30

I only buy certain items (breads included) on special offer...I mean.. even my children know when they ask for something...before I say a word they say 'But only on special offer right mummy?'..I'm not sure if thats a good or bad thing Sad
