My DH left for the Phillipines on business on Sunday morning. I've had one phone call on Monday and have heard nothing since so AIBU to expect a text to say 'am fine, how are you and kids?' After all Typhoon Megi just hit killing ten people! I am pretty sure he is okay and just being a inconsiderate prat but really!!!!

One phone call in all that time?? I'd be livid!! Does he usually behave like this though? My DH calls on Skype about twice a day whenever he's away, so to not hear from him for 3 days, especially after a typhoon, I would definitely be assuming the worst.

It seems to me you need to have a chat to him about being more considerate - would he accept this behaviour from you if you were the one travelling? It's probably thoughtlessness on his part, but still, it's not on.

He sent me a text today saying 'are you ignoring me', then called me saying he hadn't received my texts or emails. So I could have accepted that but then he slipped up by mentioning something I had sent him. He has done this in the past and I am so angry with him particularly as he was such a shit the weeks before he was leaving.
