For DH not to talk over me loudly

I HATE it when he does this. For some reason he thinks that if he talks over me during a discussion about his family, it makes him right.

Instead all it does is leave me felling repressed and resentful to him.

Will tell him this tommorrow.
Am far to mad at him now.

It is true that he who shouts the loudest gets the attention, so your DH has just learnt to do this in the wrong environment. When he starts just shut up n switch off, leave room or something, make it clear discussion is over and he'll get frustrated that his opinion isnt being heard and will learn to communicate better in a way that he is heard.

Have you tried going LA LA LA! When he does that? That's what I do.

I do that 'ah ah' sound that you do to dogs when they jump on furniture. Does the trick.

Ask him if he could talk a little louder as you can't hear him Grin

or point out that although the neighbours in the next county can hear him, he is shouting so loudly that all you get is noise and you can't work out what he is saying...
