The dc's dinner time chat

Am I being unreasonable to think that my dc aged 11 and 15 could find subjects other than diverticulitis to discuss in detail at the dinner table.

Just looked up diverticulitis and saw a very graphic picture on wikipedia. EWWW!

My 3 YO DS spent this dinner time telling anyone who would listen that pulling his winkle mad it go 'all fat'. Think I'd prefer the bowel thing, TBH

Why in God's name are they talking about that!?
