What a fucking idiot.

Clicked on her profile, there she is wearing her uniform (care home)

Place of work :- Cumbria Care

So I sent this message ' Hi, I found your views and lack of empathy very interesting considering you work for Cumbria Care.

I also feel your colleagues and superiours (some of my friends) will be interested in your views too. Will be picking up the phone first thing to let them know.

Cheers, A Cheese

Bet she's scratching about trying to get her comments deleted round about now ! Grin

How does she propose a person who is missing one or both lower limbs should walk? Is she possessed of Christ-like qualities and can perform miracles on them?

What a knobber.

GrimmaTheNome · 15/10/2010 23:58

People with no legs should be made to walk? Confused

Actually people with no legs can walk - I know one myself (artificial limbs). Nasty, vicious comment all the same. But people are so often bitter and envious of people they wouldn't swap places with a million years - see it here too.

southeastastralbeing · 16/10/2010 00:04

oh dear

am always amazed at some of the comments on my local newssite though

ColdComfortFarm · 16/10/2010 00:04

yanbu

booooooooooyhoo · 16/10/2010 00:07

YANBU

and i would follow through with it aswell. she works in a caring profession where people who are less able, depend on her for their basic needs. her employers should know that this is her attitude to the people she cares for.

chorltonandthewheelies · 16/10/2010 00:08

[shock} wtf who should get them then? No doubt my little boy who has no mobility at does not need his chair and should miraculously find himself floated from his chair into Asda (or whichever supermarket is so programmed). Wow how much easier our life is now!!! Can we leave his oxygen in the car too since "he is cured!!!" [hmm}

ApocalypseCheese · 16/10/2010 00:09

My day had his leg ampuated - had about 4inches of his thigh left and he could walk well with hjis artificial limb. He had his leg removed Xmas eve and by boxing day was on crutches - he was the most positove person I've ever met and I was soooooooo proud of him. A man who had his leg amputated at the knee around the same time, still uses crutches and refuses a limb.

Some people can walk and will, some can't, it's a personal choice, as is whther they apply for the badge. YANBU, to be annoyed at her commenths, they are grossly insensitive. However, having been round amputees, maybe she isn't BU either, some just don't seem to want to try and maybe therein lies her frustration.

booooooooooyhoo · 16/10/2010 00:28

ha, i say that too Grin

izzywizzywoowooo · 16/10/2010 00:28

I always seem to find horrible comments under newspaper articles?! People can be so horrid.

taintedpaint · 16/10/2010 00:32

OMG. Good on you for sending a message. Maybe if nothing else it will make her think a bit more in the future. What a twat.

ApocalypseCheese · 16/10/2010 00:33

Anybody without a limb is going to find it difficult walking distances without great discomfort.

Her beliefs are that all schemes should be scrapped entirely are utter tosh !

ApocalypseCheese - you are making great assumptions which is unreasonable(I'm not defending the craaaaaazt=y woman). People thought my dad had a limp and were amazed that he walked so well with his artificial limb. He would walk and push himself, because he didn;t see himself as disabled, he just considered he had to adapt his lifestyle (he had to drive an automatic car and had to give up his public service vehicle licence and take an office job, but he did it because he had his independence) with a properly fitted and maintained limb, any discomfoert is minimal, it is the `phnantom limb' that he and others found hardest to adapt to.
Blue Badge scheme is great, but have seen many abuses.....also seen many people who really should have one, decline them, because rhey don't see themself as disabled

HecateQueenOfWitches · 16/10/2010 19:33

has she made any reply to you?
