To set up a play tent in DDs bedroom...

So im sick and run down etc...

I had a brainwave earlier and set up a play tent in DDs room and told her she was camping...
I made her a picnic and put a duvet in there... Its bliss having some peace

AIBU and a little mean sittin with my feet up watching friends?? I feel a little bit smug bad

what a weird post! You might just as well post 'aibu to give my child toys to play with'

I did this with my DD when she was little, she loved it and did everything in it even sleeping in there on occation. It ended up being set up for months.

Have to say it was in a play room downstairs though.

DS has one in his bedroom, as we dont have the playroom now, but would rather cause havock downstairs.

it is one of DDs fav things.

Why could that possibly be unreasonable?

No way, DS has a one-man tent he got for his birthday. He loves sleeping it in weekends and wants to go to bed early with laptop and watch catch up tv. Bliss

Its more an 'AIBselfish and mean?' than unreasonable... As DD never chooses her tent to play with i kind of Built it up to her so i cud have some peace and quiet!! Shes had the tent for two years and this is maybe the 3rd time she has played in it

It's not a weird post...but it's a bit pointless...how is it selfish to "manage" your childs play sometimes?

course it's not being unreasonable! I expect she'll want to sleep in there tonight though....
