Hi this is just a quick thread to say a huge thankyou to everyone who commented on my previous thread about c**ting mothercare! phil and teds have just emailed me to say they have my pram and are fitting a completely new chasis and having it sent back to mothercare on a next day delivery service, will be in store tomorrow!! also they have added that if anything else fails on the pram they will replace it with a new one.

on the other hand mothercare have let me down badly. they still havent even bothered to contact me regarding this. i will never ever be making a purchase from them again!

i am looking forward to having my pram back and i hope it will work, thnkyou to all that helped x

Oh yay! I remember seeing your old thread. Really glad to hear you're getting it sorted.

BloodAaarghsbite · 13/10/2010 21:39

Glad it got sorted for you Lacy. Yay for P&T :)

misdee · 13/10/2010 21:40

hooray for phil and teds!!!

5andahead · 13/10/2010 21:44

Glad P&T sorted it for you.

Shame on Mothercare!

tootiredtothink · 13/10/2010 21:46

Shame on c*ing Mothercare indeed!

I won't be buying from them again. It's all in the customer care - when will these companies ever learn?

ChileanMinersMistress · 13/10/2010 21:47

Good news, I read your previous threads, is there anything we can do to let Mothercare know just how bad their service is?

The collective voice of MN must be worth something.

backwardpossom · 13/10/2010 21:48

Good stuff Lacy, glad to hear at least P&T weren't incompetent. Mothercare are a right shower!

ajandjjmum · 13/10/2010 21:48

The collective withdrawal of funds might go some way towards making them see sense!!

Diziet · 13/10/2010 21:55

I certainly shan't be spending money in Mothercare after reading this. What a bunch of Jizzmonkeys!! I have a (retired) P & T pushchair, bless it, it has taken a beating from my 2 lazy lumps!! Smile

scottishmummy · 13/10/2010 21:58

well done P&T for being reputable
Mothercare dross as usual

TheSugarPlumFairy · 13/10/2010 22:00

P&T are ace. Love my Sport.
Mothercare are oxygen theives.

LacyLeggins · 13/10/2010 22:01

thankyou for all the support, it just goes to show how powerful mumsnet is! i hadnt contacted p&t but they commented on the thread and have been great about sorting it out!

hmmm, am thinking mothercare do not like mn now after seeing the thread and having the cheek to ask for the c**ting to be removed!

I'll certainly never spend money in Mothercare again, they could learn a LOT from John Lewis.

scottishmummy · 13/10/2010 22:02

mothercare treated me really shabbily sent broken nursing chair- blamed me.i dont shop there now.and after reading this wont change my mind

glad this resolved well for you

nannynick · 13/10/2010 22:03

Good to hear you are getting progress with regards to this issue.

It shouldn't be necessary to get the manufacturer directly involved in this sort of thing, their retailer should have sorted this out for you. With luck Phil&Teds will review their agreement with Mothercare and establish a policy for handling repeated repairs on the same parts.

Snorbs · 13/10/2010 22:06

I'm glad that P&T are being so sensible and helpful about this. Those fucknuggets at Mothercare should be ashamed.

LacyLeggins · 13/10/2010 22:07

'fucknuggets' Grin love it!

DieDieDieDiNARGGHHHRod · 13/10/2010 22:16

Happy to keep this bumped.

Mothercare ought to be concerned about getting such bad press on a high traffic parenting website.

edam · 13/10/2010 22:16

Good grief. Am impressed with P&T but I can hardly believe that c*ing Mothercare have refused to contact you! That's astonishing. They were quick enough to moan to MN about the original thread title, yet they they can't be bothered to obey the law? Outrageous. I'm never setting foot in their crappy shop ever again.

IMoveTheStars · 13/10/2010 22:17

gawds... if this carries on there'll be a mass boycott of Mothercare.. Wouldn't that be amusing terrible! Shock

misdee · 13/10/2010 22:21

i think i'll be taking my baby-savings spending money upto kiddicare instead of mothercare. longer journey, but got to be better than cunti*g mothercare.

edam · 13/10/2010 22:28

Blimey misdee, aren't you a pramaholic, IIRC? Mothercare really will suffer from the loss of your custom... Grin

misdee · 13/10/2010 22:30

kiddicare is always cheaper than mohercare. but have a store closer than kiddicare.

so yup they will suffer! gits.

ChileanMinersMistress · 13/10/2010 22:35

What's the betting that Mothercare will be in touch with MNHQ in the morning complaining again that we are all being horrible to them.

IMoveTheStars · 13/10/2010 22:45

Grin wouldn't put it past them!

balls to Mothercare. JL is cheaper/same price for big things and Tesco/Sainsbury's sell all the other stuff at half the price :)
